KAITEN Swedish Open

Knock Down Tournament 2010

There will be three weight categories in the men’s tournament, and two in the women’s as follows:

Men lightweight -70 kg, Men middleweight -80 kg and Men heavyweight +80 kg.

Women lightweight -65 kg and Women heavyweight +65 kg.

The tournament is open for all Kyokushin fighters, but there will be a limit of 16 fighers in each category. Rules are going to be Kyokushin international Kumite standard. Groin protection is compulsary for both men and women, women must also have breast protection of the cup type and shin protection. The fights will be 3 minutes, and each extension will be 2 minutes. The tamashiwari will be done prior to the semifinal (men only). 

Medical checkup and registration will be on Friday evening (10th of September) at the official City hotel. As usual we will serve a meal on the tournament day and all fighters and coach will be invited for the Sayonara Party after the tournament. Hope to hear from you, and that we will see you, and your fighters on the 11th of September 2010 in Lund. 

Please note that the application form must be sent to this address before the 15th of August. Also note that the applications will be confirmed by e-mail at the latest on the 25th of August.
