1st European KYOKUSHIN / SHINKYOKUSHIN

KARATE championship U22

For youths born 1991, 1990, 1989, 1988, 1987

The European Kyokushin/Shinkyokushin Karate Championship will take place on 5 of December in Kaunas, Lithuania.

When: Saturday, December 5th 2009

Where: Kaunas, Lithuania
Categories: Kumite men (-65, -70, -75, -80, -85, +85) kg

Kumite women (-55, -60, -65, +65) kg

Number of participants: no limit per country

Conditions for participating in the Championship for fighters:

In this championship can take part men and women who were born form 1991 (turned 18 years on competition day) till 1987 incl.

All competitors are requested to present a written medical certificate (in English, Russian or Lithuanian languages) indication that he or she is physically fit and healthy and his/hers insurance documents. This certificate must not be older than 3 months.

All women are requested to present written certificate of non-pregnant state (in English, Russian or Lithuanian languages). This certificate must not be older than 1 month.

All the competitors must fill and present declaration for participation in the tournament.

The coach must wear the national tracksuit.

The rules will be the European Karate Organization Kyokushin Karate Kumite Rules and Rules adapted for U22 championship: main bout 2 min, extension 2 min, 2nd (final) extension 2 min (only in semi finals and finals). Men fighters with WHITE shin&instep protections.

Financial conditions: Accommodation, flight tickets, transportation and meals for all participants shall be covered by Country Organization or Club or participant himself.

Participation fee is 10 Euro per each participant.

Accommodation will be in 4* “Reval Hotel Neris”.

Price is 35 Euro per person in twin room with breakfast (70 Euro per room).

Transportation from Vilnius and Kaunas airports will be arranged, more detailed information coming soon.

Preliminary schedule:

04 of December, Friday: 12.00 - Arrival and check-in

18.00 - weight and medical control, referee meeting, draws.

05 of December, Saturday: 09.00 - European Championship.

20.00 - Sayonara party.

06 of December, Sunday: Check-out.

Deadline for registration is 1st of November 2009.
Registration will be available online on the website of the European Championship www.U22.kyokushin.eu (the Organizing Committee inform you later about details).
